Your screenshot confirms a frustrating limitation in the ASIC Connect system:
- The email address (username) is fixed and used as your login.
- There’s no field or function on the “myAccount” page to change your email address (username).
This is by design: ASIC Connect uses the email address as the user ID, and they don’t allow users to change it themselves.
ASIC Official Position (and your options)
1. You cannot change your ASIC Connect username (email) yourself
“Your ASIC Connect username is the email address you registered with. If you need to change your email address, you must create a new ASIC Connect account with the new email address.” (ASIC Connect FAQ)
You must:
- Register a new ASIC Connect account using your new email address.
- Link your business(es) or company(ies) to the new account using your ASIC key.
2. What about old lodgements and records?
- All business names and company registrations are attached to the account (email address) they were linked with.
- Once you create a new ASIC Connect account, you must “link” each entity using the ASIC key for that entity.
- You can request the ASIC key if you don’t have it (here).
