Cross Doc Classification

Cross Doc Classification is a feature implementation within the Portal Intelligence Layer that enables systematic categorization of documents across multiple sources. The system analyzes document content and relationships to establish appropriate categories, facilitating better organization and retrieval of information from diverse document sets.

Implementation and Completion

The cross-document classification functionality was completed in version 3.5.18 through the integration and merging of ten constituent tasks. This multi-task approach allowed for comprehensive development of the classification system, with each task contributing specific components to the overall feature.

Functionality

The classification system operates by examining both the textual content of documents and their connections to other documents within the corpus. By evaluating these factors, the system automatically assigns documents to relevant categories, improving information organization and enabling more effective document discovery across heterogeneous document collections.
