Definition

A computational technique that projects data into a space with more dimensions than the original dataset, enabling the separation of complex patterns that are non-linearly separable in lower-dimensional spaces.

Key Applications

  • Genomics & Pathogen Prediction:

    • Addresses limitations of traditional Phylogenetic Tree approaches, which fail to account for mutations shared across different evolutionary branches.
    • AI models map genomic data into high-dimensional spaces to create accurate mutational “fingerprints,” improving the prediction of future pathogen strains for timely vaccine production.
