Eligibility for the e-visa is primarily determined by the applicant’s nationality, with specific countries granted access to the online portal while others must apply through diplomatic missions. Applicants must possess a passport valid for at least six months beyond their entry date and a valid email address to receive the approved visa. The system also requires payment via credit or debit card, and the resulting e-visa is electronically linked to the passport number provided during the application.
Once issued, the e-visa is typically valid for multiple entries within a specified period, allowing stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period for most eligible nationalities. Travelers are required to carry a printed copy or digital version of the e-visa alongside their passport when entering Turkey.
