LA approach

A framework for critically evaluating information by explicitly identifying Limitations and Assumptions. Used to enhance the utility of AI-generated content, particularly when combined with the qec-framework.

• Core function: Prevents uncritical acceptance of AI outputs by questioning underlying biases, data constraints, and unstated premises.
• Application:
  • After generating content via qec-framework, list limitations (e.g., training data gaps, temporal constraints) and assumptions (e.g., implicit context, unstated user intent).
  • Refine conclusions by addressing these gaps (e.g., “This conclusion assumes no cultural bias in source data”).
• Purpose: Transforms AI-generated notes from passive summaries into actionable, critical knowledge.
