Single Click Editing
Single Click Editing is a workflow feature in Lightroom Classic that allows photographers to apply multiple automated AI masks to an image with a single click. Rather than manually creating and adjusting individual masks for different parts of a photograph, users can save and apply preset combinations that automatically isolate specific elements like skies, subjects, or backgrounds. This functionality streamlines repetitive editing tasks, particularly for photographers working with consistent subjects or conditions.
How It Works
The feature uses Lightroom Classic’s AI-based selection capabilities to recognize and mask distinct image elements automatically. Users create a preset by configuring their desired masks and adjustments once—such as a sky mask paired with specific exposure or color settings—then save this configuration. Subsequently, the saved preset can be applied to new images with a single action, with the AI masks automatically adapting to each photograph’s unique composition and lighting.
Application in Photography
Single Click Editing is particularly useful in landscape and portrait photography workflows, where photographers frequently need to adjust the same image regions across multiple shots. For landscape images, a preset might automatically mask and enhance the sky while protecting the foreground. In portrait work, presets can isolate subjects or backgrounds for targeted adjustments. This approach reduces editing time while maintaining consistency across a photo series.
