Voyager 2
Voyager 2 is a space probe launched by nasa in 1977 to study the outer planets. It remains the only spacecraft to have visited both Uranus and Neptune, and the only one to have visited all four giant planets.
Key Discoveries
Saturn
During its flyby in 1981, Voyager 2 provided the first close-up images of Saturn’s rings and moons. A significant discovery was the Saturn’s Hexagonal North Pole: Mystery and Explanations, a persistent, massive hexagonal cloud pattern at the planet’s north pole.
