Cognizant AI Lab is a research division of Cognizant that focuses on advancing artificial intelligence capabilities. The lab conducts research and development in areas related to large language models (LLMs) and AI automation.
Research Focus
In November 2025, Cognizant AI Lab published a research paper titled “Solving a Million-Step LLM Task with Zero Errors.” This work addressed the challenge of enabling language models to successfully complete extended task sequences without errors, a significant technical problem in deploying LLMs for complex, multi-step operations. The research demonstrated approaches for improving reliability and accuracy in long-running LLM tasks.
The lab’s work has included exploration of AI automation frameworks, including investigations into action-based automation systems for business applications and event response scenarios. This research contributes to the broader development of practical AI systems capable of executing complex, extended workflows with high reliability.
