New Glenn
New Glenn is a heavy-lift launch vehicle currently under development by Blue Origin. Designed to transport both cargo and crew, the system aims to facilitate deep space exploration missions and the deployment of large-scale space infrastructure. As a heavy-lift launch system, it represents an expansion of existing launch capabilities intended to support ambitious space exploration objectives beyond Earth orbit.
The vehicle’s design accommodates both uncrewed cargo missions and crewed spaceflight operations. Its substantial payload capacity to orbit is intended to enable human exploration of the Moon and Mars, as well as the deployment of large satellites and space station modules. The rocket utilizes a first stage powered by BE-4 engines and a second stage powered by BE-3U engines, with a focus on reusability for the first stage to reduce operational costs.
