The playground UI exposes tools like Google Search, URL Context, Code Execution, and File Search (which lets you upload PDFs, CSVs, and other files directly). MCP server connectivity — the part where Deep Research can hit FactSet, Bloomberg, S&P, or your internal data sources — is currently available through the Interactions API, not through the playground UI. To wire MCP in, you call the API in code and pass an mcp_server tool definition with your server URL and auth headers.
